The difference is
in the details.
Any workshop can replace a battery. What sets a good one apart is what happens around it — the assessment, the seal check, the honest word, and the care taken not to scratch anything that wasn't scratched before.
Back to HomeWhat you get when you come to Nawa Watch
Honest condition assessment
We look at the watch before we say what it needs. No upselling, no reflexive lists of recommended work.
Pressure check after every opening
Every battery change includes a seal and pressure check. In southern Thailand's humidity, this matters more than people often realise.
Timing readings for movement work
Before and after readings are documented and given to the customer. You leave with a clear picture of where the watch stands.
Fixed, transparent pricing
Service prices are stated upfront. If anything changes during the work, we contact you first. No additions at collection.
Realistic turnaround times
Same-day battery work, several days for movement tuning, two to three weeks for full care. We say what we mean and keep to it.
Written summary for complex work
Full care services come with a written note covering what was done, timing results, and when the next service might be due.
Experience with both quartz and mechanical movements
Our lead watchmaker, Thanakorn, has worked with movements for over 18 years. That range matters because the two types of watch require a different mindset and a different set of skills. Quartz watches need careful disassembly, fresh seals, and proper torque on the case back. Mechanical movements need patience, clean hands, the right lubricants, and the experience to know when an adjustment is sufficient and when something needs replacing.
What this means for you
- Your watch is handled by someone with appropriate knowledge for its type
- You are told when something is outside our scope, rather than attempted anyway
- Assessments come from experience, not from a checklist
We communicate clearly and do not pressure you
Our tone follows the design style of the service itself: calm, measured, and informative. When you bring a watch in, you are told honestly what we see. If the watch is fine and just needs a battery, we say that. If we notice something worth addressing in the future, we mention it without pushing. The decision is yours.
What this means for you
- No pressure to approve work you did not ask for
- Straightforward answers to your questions
- Updates during longer services so you are not left wondering
Fixed prices that reflect the actual work involved
Our three service prices — ฿1,480, ฿2,690, and ฿4,110 — cover everything described in each service. The battery service includes the seal check, the case clean, and the advice note. The movement tune includes the timing readings. The full care includes the written summary. What you see is what you pay.
What this means for you
- No unclear "parts and labour" charges added later
- Price confirmed before we begin, not when you collect
- The included extras (seal checks, timing readings) are built in, not charged separately
Work you can measure and verify
For movement work, the before and after timing readings give you something objective to look at. A watch running at +45 seconds per day that leaves at +8 seconds per day is a verifiable result, not a vague claim. For full care services, the written summary records what was done so you have a service history to refer to in the future.
What this means for you
- Documented timing results for mechanical services
- A written record of work for treasured pieces
- Guidance on the next appropriate service interval
What sets a careful workshop apart
Not all watch servicing is the same. The differences become noticeable over time — when a seal fails after a cheap battery change, or when nobody can tell you why the rate improved.

Things we do that most workshops do not
Designed for Hat Yai's conditions
We factor in southern Thailand's humidity when assessing seal condition, service intervals, and lubricant suitability. Many watches here need attention sooner than a standard service schedule suggests.
Something to keep with the watch
Even battery services come with a brief written note covering what was done and when the next check might be helpful. Simple, but useful to have when the time comes.
We say what is actually needed
If a watch only needs a battery, we fit a battery and say so. We do not add a movement clean to a watch that does not need one, and we do not recommend a refinish on a watch that wears its marks well.
Nothing gets mixed with anything else
Each watch is tagged and stored individually during the service period. Straps, crown tubes, and original packaging stay together. You collect exactly what you brought in.
